Join a community

Everything in Ummity happens inside a community — a masjid and the people around it. Here’s how to get into yours.

With an invite

If your masjid shared an invite link or QR code, use it — it takes you straight in. The community switcher has a scan option: on iPhone it’s Enter invite code or scan QR, on Android Join a community.

Without an invite

Open the community switcher and choose Find your community. Search by name or location. Some communities let you join right away; others send your request to their admins for approval.

Where’s the switcher?

• On your phone: the @handle pill on your Profile — or on Android, your community’s logo at the top of any screen.
• On the website: the dropdown at the top of the sidebar, next to Find a community.

Your account may need approval too

New accounts can sit in a short approval queue. If the app says your account is pending, a team member will review it — you’ll get an email when you’re in.
